Freestyle
Description Freestyle is a relatively new style of dance which began in the days of John Travolta, in movies like ‘Saturday Night Fever’, as Disco. In recent years, with the influence of other dance styles, it has now become more technical and athletic. There are different styles under the Freestyle umbrella, including Slowdance, Rock ‘n Roll and Disco. Although Freestyle has its own Syllabus, it is inspired by Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics and even Latin American. Our studio is one of the leading Freestyle studios in the country for Syllabus and Competitive work. We are also very proud to say that South Africa boasts many Freestyle World Champions and our success in International competitions grows stronger each year. Our Syllabus classes are compulsory; this is where we teach the exam work. We teach the SADTA Freestyle syllabus, which includes Freestyle, Slowdance, Rock ‘n Roll, Disco and most recently added, Foundation. The Foundation routines are in essence a bridge between exam and competition dancing, but even those dancers with no intention of ever competing will benefit from the strength, flexibility and technical training that can be obtained through the Foundation routines. The Open Freestyle Classes are mainly aimed at competitors but are open to all dancers. Here we focus on fitness, flexibility, strength, choreography and versatility.
Why Freestyle FREESTYLE DANCERS ARE CONFIDENT, POWERFUL AND VERSATILE. AND FOR THIS REASON, ARE SOME OF THE MOST SORT AFTER PROFESSIONAL DANCERS ACROSS THE GLOBE.
Age Groups We Teach kids starting as young as 3 years old all the way up to 20
Acrobatics
Description Acrtobatics is great for flexibility, balance, strength, tumbling, transitions, contortion, musicality and team work
Example class - 15 min cardio and muscle group warm up - depending on the level, cartwheels and hand stands from the corner - detailed warm up of specific muscles being used - the tricks using those muscles taught in detail - split stretch - cool down For safety reasons I put emphasis on warming up properly before attempting tricks and do my best to educate the students of this aswell. I have yet to have any injuries in my classes and aim to keep it that way!
Age Groups Great for kids from the ages of 3 up to 20 years old.

Wedding Dance
Weddings We have a variety of Wedding Packages for you to choose from. Our very experienced teachers can help make your opening dance extra special. We work in private lessons to choreograph your opening dance, however we highly recommend that you join a group class to get some of the basics and to get used to dancing together, before we begin your private lessons. You choose your music, but of course if you are struggling we will guide you to the perfect song. We cater for simple requests, if you just want to be able to move beautifully together, and we also choreograph very elaborate First Dances. We understand that each couple has their own idea of a perfect opening dance, therefore we mould the dance to your personal taste.

Matric Dance
Matric Dance Whether you have two left feet or just need some confidence on the dance floor, we can get you to where you need to be. Bring your friends and we can make a group class out of it too, or join just any of our social cources. Be warned though, if you start dancing with us, you might not stop!
Modern & Contemporary
Modern & Contemporary Contemporary Dance is a compilation of, Modern, Ballet and Jazz, using techniques from each different style to CREATE movement instead of structuring it To accomplish this we make use of IDF's Modern & Lyrical syllabus work, combining the two, to teach technique, emotional interpretation and performance. When competing in Contemporary, stage competitions expect well rounded and versatile dancers, who can tell a story, aswell as perform some tricks, incorporating Acrobatics and Tumbling in routines. We offer choreography and training in Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz and Show Dance.

Showdance
Showdance Show Dance incorporates all styles of dance. It can be done solo, as a duo or in groups. Items are choreographed to music of your choice, and have to tell a story!
